Second from the right on the front row is Peter Sedgwick my uncle. He is sat next to Rev Mellor.
I have a souvenir brochure from St. Wilf's in 1955. Could these photos have been taken at that time? They are not IN the brochure, but a photo of Canon Mellor [and others] is. The brochure does list members of the church council and the leaders of other groups. Not sure how to share the brochure which is in 2 parts in a PDF format?

Second on left back row is my granddad Ben Eccleston , ex miner at Victoria Colliery, lived in Pole St Standish.I have a pocket watch fob "Presented to B Eccleston by Standish St Wilfreds Bible Class December 1930" Rev Mellor was still there in the 1950s
I think this is the organising committee and workers for a 'Welcome Home' party held for demobbed soldiers at the end of WW2. The other pic probably shows the demobbed soldiers.
