From the participants and Brian Jerstice being on the photo I would think perhaps mid 1950's or so.

Brian Jerstice learned to fence at Thomas Linacre School in the mid fifties i would put the date at 1958. Other faces on the photo include Derek Elsey,Jack Whiteley,John Rankin, Ernie Partington,Paul Laycock
