It looks very much like the series of 6 inch OS Maps that were prepared in the late 1880s/early 1890s.

You say that you have other photo's of Hindley from around the 1880 period, have you any of Hindley showing the area around the modern day Liverpool Road-- Moss Lane junction is.I am particulary interested in an address called Low Green Fold, which I'm sure was in that area.They would be called Stoney Lane(Liverpool Road), and Slackey Lane(Moss Lane)in the 1880's.I would appreciate seeing them if you have any of that area.
