What a wonderful photo. Takes me back some years. You can see the old Central Park as well as the Market Hall with Queens Hall on the left.

The Ritz cinema is standing in Station Road, so this puts the photo after 1937.
There again, the shops on the Market Street side of the Market Hall don't appear to have been built, so it's most likely before the late 1950s.
Given the volume of traffic, I would guess this photo was taken in the late '40s, early '50s.
