Photograph showing men digging the foundations for St. Teresa's church in Roby Mill church yard. This was the orignal site of the new St. Teresa's church. However, due to the building of the new council house estate at Upholland. It was decided to move the location of the church to its present position in College Road.

Mrs McNamara was our school cook in the old school All Hallows in Roby Mill, we had proper school dinners then, my mum Renie Higham was her assistant, happy days in the old school, also Mrs McNamara's daughter was our teacher
