View of UpHolland from Higher Lane, Autumn 1977.
The huts in the foreground were originally classrooms at the old Village School. At the time of taking they were used as parish rooms, scout huts etc.
St Thomas's Court now stands on this spot.

I used to go to the old school, there were only 2 classrooms in it. I went to Brownies in the bottom hut there and my brother had his wedding reception in it too. I lived on Alma Hill, what a fantastic view that was!

When I went ot the school there the bottom hut was junior 2 and the top was junior 4. Can anyone remember Miss Gladwin she was only small but what a temper. Mr. Hart was the headmaster.

Miss Gladwin went to a school in skelmersdale after UpHolland, she was at a school in Aspull when she retired around 2005.
When I was at Up Holland School I had two years in the top hut. One year with Miss Woods and one year with Mt Green.
