Further to my recent posting of an 1887 photo of the Manor House and a map of the area, here’s an illustration I found in the Fast Forward magazine of over 20 years ago. It's an illustration of what the Manor House may have looked like in its early days.

Meg, the map of Scholes posted on December 23rd should pinpoint where this was in Scholes. The buildings that are identified with black markers and white numbers are the location of Scholes’s Manor House, as is the photo posted on Dec.18th, entitled Scholes.

I have been reading an article in Past Forward about the Manor House in Scholes. It’s easy to get into them-by following the directions from Thomas Walsh’s post. Loads of reading there.
