Googled this house but nothing showing up? So I presume it's been demolished? Does anyone know if it is still standing? Maybe with a Name Change. Maybe STANE is a derivation of STONE?

Ron, according to Historic England, Stane House or Stone Hall is still on Stonehall Lane.

In the south of England there is a Roman road, Stane Street...it gets lost in the southern outskirts of London

For those who might be interested Stane Street means Stoney Road & it runs from the seaport of Chichester on the south coast to London, 56 miles long, thats according to Wikipedia.

This building is still standing and a working farm (Waterworths)
Correct name Stonehall farm.
Between Crow Lane Roby Mill, and Ashurst Beacon.

I walked past there many a time but haven't walked down Crow lane in over ten years. I just looked on Google Maps, there's a building on the satellite photo that has the same layout of roof and chimneys.
