I can recall the official opening of the William Foster Playing Field....I would have been about seven or eight years old, I never played down there even though it wasn't far from my home..... my friends and I stuck with Ince Park. I don't recall the bowling green at all.

I remember my grandfather taking me her to play bowles when I was a young child early 60s
