You can make out the "Shambles". Top floor used for hustings whilst the ground floor contained shops like a butchers. Stonework reputed to have been placed in Mesnes Park but cannot be proved. I assume in the centre of the stonewould have been the Moot Hall insignia, carried over from the old Moot Hall and replaced in 1922.

Andy, yes it was supposed to be the rockery near the pond. There’s also the foundation stone that supposed to exist aswell.
