This was taken after 1948 because the Ribble bus was new in 1939 and was re-bodied in 1949 and the picture shows it's second body.

Well, this one nearly made me spill my morning coffee. All I needed was BAXTERS on the building to know where it is. I grew up in UpHolland and walked past that spot thousands of times. Thank you for making my day!

Stuart, thanks for the info about the bus. I was wondering which bus operator it belonged to, since it didn't appear to have been of any design operated by Ribble and, as far as I was aware, no operator other than Ribble ran services through Upholland.
