Centre of back row in blazer is Donald Green, who was a pupil at the grammar at the time.
He went on to be deputy head of Upholland Secondary Modern.
An excellent teacher who was well respected.

It'll be a grammar school side because the pic was taken outside the old Upholland grammar school building.

It will be a Grammar school team as Wigan had one of the same name. My Dad, Norman Cunliffe, played for the team. I think it depended on your size.

The UGS Bantams was a junior team which played other schools.
