Today's (18/3/2024) P-a-D shows these hoses from the opposite direction - so I thought I'd put this timepix image up to match it.

They still look picturesque yesterday..not a very nice view at the time looking out of the windows. These photos are a treasure trove and a glimpse of life back then.

Nice photo, especially as it is p-a-d's subject too. It is nice to see the black-and-white photo AND the coloured one today. The sky at the top of the photo appears to show a hazy sun peeping through clouds but it looks dreamy and surreal compared to the rest of the photo.....I'm not sure if it IS a true part of the photo or if that's a slight damp patch in the photographic paper, but it reminds me of a Van Gogh sky and I can't help keep going back to it for another look!
