T'LONG WALL, NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO TUCSON HOUSE

This is a great picture, the water treatment works is missing as is the entire Winstanley Hall housing estate (now behind the Venture). May Mill and St Matthews in the distance. And the wall is no longer in such good nick!

I walked down this path only last year and I couldn't' believe it.. There is hardly anything left of the wall.. No doubt someone, nearby, has a nice stone house..

What has happened to the man with the numbers board and pointy arrow?

I think it is the entrance to Tueson House not Tucson House but I might be wrong.

Phil Taylor - you are right.
The correct spelling is Tueson House, as can be found on all official documentation, and on OS Maps.
I was told the name came from an early occupant of the property - the surnames Tueson and Tuson once occurred frequently in South Lancashire.
