Can't get my bearings with this one. Railway bridge looking South, Where?
Looks like looking down lower Wallgate, from Wigan North West Station Railway bridge.
I'm not too sure where this location is.
A wonderful photo of how that part of Wigan looked before the town planners were released from the Asylum.
Here's a clearer shot -

Ooops should have said Taken from the RAILWAY BRIDGE looking towards Wigan Pier
Buy a compass, looking south is towards Wigan Pier.
No doubt some afficionado or petrol head will name each and every car!
I have yet to check the link to the clearer picture but think I spot a Jag, Morris Minor Van, Cortina a Mini and a Wigan Corporation Bus just passing the garage on the left.
It may well be a clear photo Mick, but it's after the town planners had convinced the council that the demolition of homes and thriving shops and ripping apart communities was the way to go.
i understand the demolition of the slums and the squalor but the dismantling of the community will never be forgotten or forgiven
