Thought I’d give Ron’s excellent photo of the Upholland Carrier, believed to be William Fairclough, a whirl on the old "magic colouriser". Here’s the result, not too bad I think.

Many apologies to all, no idea what happened. The colour photo I uploaded has been drained somehow. Complete mystery since it appeared in full colour before I was asked to check and then upload.

Thanks for this, I had to educate myself and read up on what a Village Carrier was. Turns out to be exactly what it says on the tin, someone from the village whos job was to transport stuff. Ye olde Parcel Force.

We still have a Village Carrier in Standish, that's me trailing back from Lidle with far much more to carry!
