Just realised the photo was taken in Daniels Lane so it can't be the WHITE LION..
Ron, on this link it's the Bowling Green Hotel, and yet on an old map it's the Bowling Green Inn - all swept away for what was then the New Town https://redrosecollections.lancashire.gov.uk/view-item?key=SnsiUCI6eyJpdGVtaWQiOjIzNTA1MSwicGVyY2VudFRlcm1zVG9NYXRjaCI6IjAuNiIsIm1heFF1ZXJ5VGVybXMiOiIyMCIsIm1pbkRvY0ZyZXEiOiIxIiwibWluVGVybUZyZXEiOiIxIn0sIkYiOiJleUp6YnlJNk0zMCJ9&pg=4&WINID=1686221179631#DwrM_9v7oWUAAAGImp1EIw/224176
The front left lower leg of the horse doesn't look right, it seems to be all bone and looks like a prosthetic
forgot to put the links on to the map - here :- https://www.archiuk.com/cgi-bin/build_nls_historic_map_archi_sub.pl?map_location=Tithe%20map%20data%20site%20near%20%20Charnock%20Richard%20Lancashire&ngr=SD%2052%2005&search_location=Upholland%20Up%20Holland%20Lancaster%20%28Lancashire%29%20with%20potential%20locations%20of%20mines%2C%20quarries%20%28coal%29%2C%20footpath%20and%2For%20bridleway%20and%20bridges%20in%20this%20area&os_series=1&is_sub=1&pwd=&latitude=53.539439&longitude=-2.725754&postcode=&county=Lancashire
If you scroll the Time Traveller Tool to around half way the new and the old maps overlay one another.
Thank's Cyril....

Dick and the shop are featured on pages 2 and 4 of this section
I'll put a few more photos of the shop up
Cheers David. Forgot to say that I think Peter Glover? loaned me this image, along with a lot more, from his collection of postcards. I must have had it on my computer for well over 10 years Just found it in a folder.
Ron, if you have anymore of Digmoor could you pass them on please
In the mid 70's ,the local Irvine paper ( where we lived at the time) had a advert displayed " MODERN BAKERIES"
A.F Beveridge .
Due to laziness and lack of willpower the Van Service will NOT be resumed until FRIDAY 8th AUGUST.
I don't think you would have seen that at Cheetham's Bakery. I've kept the newspaper cutting all this time.
