Came across these 2 photographs in Fathers 3rd album and have join them up. His diary records "it was marvellous in there, I guess that I shall spend a lot of my time in there". And he did and also took his children through there including me in the late 40's-50's and into adult period. This is the start of April and the trees are bare -climate change not thought of then.

Helen, surprising but not many after the 1930's except the bus ones from the 3 bus body companies that he worked for up to 1955. These I will post in due course. The diaries are the ones that are interesting to me, as they record his many walks around the area in the late 1920's which, in some cases, the modern generation would not dream of doing now.
