Showing the extent of the graveyard down to the railway lines.

Can you show what happens further West - ie further to the left? You can see at the top left where Dorning Street has been built from the junction of Hallgate and Bishopgate. Presumably by 1847 the railway, the building of the first Wallgate station, and the cutting through of King Street West were well underway. Crawford Street has yet to be made, running along the North side of the churchyard down to King Street West.

We must be walking over countless graves buried in the town around that area all forgotten about.

Rev David I have posted another map showing that even the railway cut slightly through the graveyard.
Yes Veronica, I bet there has been a few hauntings down King Street West.

I was only thinking that yesterday morning on the bus going up King St. Every frontage painted in purples and greys which are so depressing you would think they were entrances to the Ghost Train at Blackpool. Then there’s the empty derelict shops. It was so grand that street Peter at one time it was a world away from how it is now. It’s a disgrace how it’s been let go.
