Me too Ron, i lived about a 5 min walk from there in the late 60's, i fancied the landlord's daughter, but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

Landlord in the 50s early 60s was Jack Smith,we use to take empty beer bottles back for a penny.The pub had to close at 2pm on Sunday, most of the drinkers would go behind the pub wall and play pitch and toss until the police came,still see them scattery.We use to watch top of the dirt rook above the pub,had a good laugh..
