Looks like something out of a Dickens film set. I cant believe that people lived in houses like this when I was born..

Neither can I Ron, as you say truly out of a Dickens book but fasincinating never the less.
I have a book by Ernie Taberner called "A Lancashire Upbringing" which is about his childhood in Driving Lane.
