Had a look at No 8, Standishgate, and it is now the Card Factory, I was wondering if perhaps it could have been an ancestor of the surgeon at Wigan Infirmary, Mr Brown, and who if you remember, also had a dental practice on Standishgate, but the door to where that the dental practice was is No 12, and now Warren James.

Always hated going to there, the smell of ether always hung heavily in the air along with the sound of drilling, and whilst in the waiting room it made you think of what fate awaited yourself.
