The contractor I worked for as H&S adviser (Rawlings Construction, Blackburn) won the contract to carry out repairs to the roof & stain glass windows in June 1992. The works were completed by the end of October.The entire external faces had to have scaffold erected to roof level for access and the windows were carefully removed and new lead applied to each piece of glass. This view is above the main entrance to the church.
