These pantomimes at the Hippodrome do stand out in my memory as it was a rare occurrence when my Mam took my brother and me to watch them. It was the early fifties, I loved going to the Hippodrome it was exciting just to go there. We would have been up stairs, I know we were looking down on to the stage. I wonder how much it cost...happy memories.
I think not 1956, as poster says December. I believe the fire leading to closure was in April of that year.
