I remember the coop going up in flames ,,and rummer had it ,it was one of the buiders own workmen who set it alight ,because the place was near completion and the store ready for opening ,hence going to put the workmen out of jobs ,so it was burned down so they could start to build all over again ,giving them more weeks of employment ,don't know how true this is but that was the tale ,(no smoke without) as the saying goes .....
