Wigan Album

I lived in this street from 1959 until 1982.
There are a few people I think I recognise.
I'll have to have a closer look as its a bit small.
I think I've spotted Harold Ashurst who lived in this street. He was a journalist and he also commentated on Wigan Athletic games on Wish FM. Harold is a couple of years older than me. I am the same age as his twin sisters.

Josephine Murphy, Margaret Arrowsmith ( married name Donaldson ) And It looks like a young Neil Telford at the back holding a child on his shoulders. I stand corrected if I'm wrong. Colin Peel at the back, with the beard.

Straight opposite, the double fronted shops, belonged to Cherrycroft Garage and sold Triumph cars.
