I think this might be the top of Greenough St immediately lower down than the Methodist church. Post war a new Methodist church was constructed in the area. My father was a war reserve policeman during WWII and we lived in Whelley at the time. Although I was only very young, on the night the bomb hit the top of Greenough St. I remember the family being very worried when he didn't arrive home on time from his afternoon shift. He had been on his way home but obviously as a policeman had become involved in the aftermath.

On looking at this again, I don't think this is Greenough St. The style of the houses doesn't look right and there is no sign of the couple of shops which were on that side of the street immediately below the church.

Definetly top of Greenhough st , thats what the houses looked like at that location near the church , I lived close by for many many years .
