I might well have done, G.W., and yes it is a lovely shot - taken at the top end of Shaley.

The Orrell Half-Marathon was routed this way in the mid 1980's. This would be at about 11.5 miles and was a true test for any runner. At the top of Shaley the route was downhill all the way to Edge Hall Road. To think that Wigan Rugby occupy that sacred place these days breaks my heart. Happy memories indeed of the great Orrell 'Half'.
