Yet another classic picture of the old hall at Bamfurlong Hall Farm. It was such a pity that mum and dad didn't have enough resources at the time to preserve it and it was demolished in 1953 (not 1952) when I was a baby. We lived in the old house next door and the moat was always a great place to play any kind of kids games. Such fun.

Hi Christine you were one of our gang alias Top Cat remember that one?! Are your parents still around or not? Your mum Elsie was always so kind to us. I remember once that you locked your self in the bathroom of the old house and it took ages to get you out. I just got back to the States from over there May 17th spent 3 months over there helping John brother back to good health after his open heart surgery. Netty lives in Appley Bridge, Joanne in Manchester and John in Standish.
