Wow Ron I have never seen a photo of the old original pub before. When my parents (Jean and Benny Holleron) were landlords in the 60s, 70s and 80s we were told that there was on old original pub on the site built in about 1705 but have never been able to find out any more information about it. I would be interested to know where you found the photo. It is amazing.

It was from a 1950's or 60's newspaper cutting.
