Wonder what that little girl would think about modern day bikes. Thanks Graham.
...She probably had two more in her Daddy's garage. Typical pic of Orrell rich kids. Us Pem and Norley kids could only dream of such delights...Bikes were handed down from your big brother or sister (although not many wenches had bikes in the sixties). The Orrell toffs had it good; we didn't...And that's always grated on me...Funny owd life, in it? Lol.
We had nothing in Ince in the 50s And 60s,but its no good being bitter and sad like Jarvo sounds.
Sad and bitter...Hmmm...But at least not afraid to post under my own name...Eh, Bernard? The 'Ince' gave it away. I'm so, so, glad that you don't post anymore on General...Lol.
If this was in colour it would look almost as it does today. Technology has marched on but street scenes like this change soooo slowly. Lovely picture. Thanks
Wasn't you seen riding your sisters pony, Jarvis, and was laughed at by parents and kids alike around your area. Lower class fools trying to act like the middle classes. Gymkhana club anyone?
