Not a regular watering-hole in the 60's but I can recall a mate of mine who dropped an acid tab one day and in the Dog remarked on the colour TV.
Dont be a soft-lad replied the manager its black and white!!

In the 1970s The Socialist Workers Party had meetings here in he side room on the right as you entered the pub, they later moved to room upstairs in the Market Tavern when this pub shut and was refurbished and was renamed The BEES KNEES.
Now called Last Orders or known as Jurasic Park or Star wars disco.

I remember Nobbie Clark - he used to come to Glorious Goodwood races - not far from were I live.
