A Jaguar car makes its way up Scot Lane in the early 1980s when the Wigan newspapers buildings was being built. In this area there is now a petrol station, Vauxhall, Honda, Ford and Renault car dealers, and an electricity route that is long gone, went from Westwood power station this way towards Preston with medium sized pylons. Ironically the Wigan newspapers building has recently closed and is going to be a hotel.
