I recognise these usual suspects! Mick, Jonesy, Deano RIP and Frank Fisher aka Frank Nitti. They used to hang about with Charlie Watson RIP and some scouser called Johnny.

Mick Whitaker Pete jones .dave dean.frank fisher.

A brilliant photo of a time we remember so well, and how sad to see "RIP" against the name of one of these young lads.

Looking at the clothes, I'd say that this is 1968. Ski Jackets and braces only came out in that year. Highfield old boys on here.

Comment by: Stuart Naylor on 9th November 2014 at 11:23

They look like 'wrong uns' to me, probably 'mods' ,, 1960's hooligans, I bet they used to listened to 'The Who' and then went smashing things up in't park.

Comment by: Jonno on 9th November 2014 at 13:40

You seem to know a lot about those sort of activities Stuart were YOU involved in them? The lads look innocent enough to me.

Comment by: Albert. on 9th November 2014 at 15:56

Stuart. Remember the ninth commandment."You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour" None of us are perfect, we each of us have our faults. I know I have.

Comment by: Daisy on 9th November 2014 at 16:29

they look like the group ,small faces, 😀

Comment by: Craig on 9th November 2014 at 16:40

Im going to watch The Who next month, well half of them

Comment by: John on 9th November 2014 at 21:04

Stuart,I agree looks can be deceptive ,but all these lads turned out to be responsible adults.

Comment by: Giovanni on 10th November 2014 at 08:38

You're out of order Stuart Naylor. The music listened to was Tamla Motown and R&B and as for smashing the park up, the only things that got broken were many a young girls' heart!

Comment by: Stuart Naylor on 10th November 2014 at 12:57

Giovanni

Is Frank Fisher, the Frank Fisher who used to be a GPO Engineer and he used to sing in the local clubs.

Comment by: DerekB on 10th November 2014 at 15:09

Surely, Stuart's remarks about these lads being probable hooligans etc, were made tongue in cheek and meant to be humorous.

Comment by: t on 10th November 2014 at 18:29

giovanni, stewarts remarks were probably meant as a joke, lighten up !!!

Comment by: Terry on 10th November 2014 at 19:23

if you look on page 4 assorted "in the pub" the four lads look more innocent "scrubbed up"

Comment by: Giovanni on 10th November 2014 at 19:35

Stuart - I think that was Eddie Fisher who married Liz Taylor!
Seriously I don't know!

Comment by: Giovanni on 10th November 2014 at 19:37

t - I've crossed swords with you before remember? :o)

Comment by: t on 10th November 2014 at 20:15

giovanni, touche !!!

Comment by: Jonno on 11th November 2014 at 12:50

I think Stuart should sort this out once and for all. Stuart, were your comments light hearted or serious? be honest please, as you ARE entitled to your opinion whether some people disagree or not.

Comment by: Danny on 11th November 2014 at 13:05

I was at Tommy More with Charlie Watson and Mick Whitaker,
Charlie was a great dancer last time I saw him was at the Wigan Casino late 6os

Comment by: Stuart Naylor on 11th November 2014 at 15:33

They were light hearted comments

Comment by: Giovanni on 11th November 2014 at 16:04

We were all good dancers then, Danny. Those Northern Soul muppets copied us with their stupid loon pants and tank tops!
