Photographed using a 10 second exposure, from a 35mm Nikon SLR camera, fixed on a tripod. It shows the shops and surounding property, at Worsley Mesnes at night. It was taken from the 15th floor of Masefield House (top floor) in 1985.

I lived in WM for a couple of years 79-80 and everyday was greeted by the unnerving message "APOCALYPSE NOW" as I walked down Tyrer Avenue from the bus stop on Warrington Road. It was on the side of the shop at the end of the row and is just visible in your photo. Thank you for capturing that dubious memory! I never got round to photographing it as I intended to do. Maybe someone else did?

my sister shelly lived above the pie shop at that time. its the second from the left. it was great then, the shops were really busy and you felt safe walking round there.
