To answer that Les we have no UDC's filled with local people to manage them!

Could'nt agree more Andrew I remember when it was HUDC Not GR. Manchester all the children got a small present off Father Chirstmas at the town hall also we had our own big chirstmas tree in front of the town hall with children from locol schools singing carols. If there was a street light out you could call in and report it and within two days it was fixed same if there was a grid blocked I personaly thought we had the best locol council for miles around sadly not anymore.

Spent many hours in the park , on the swings , catching little fish in the brook, some times the Hindley Subscription Band would play in the bandstand

Had loads of happy times in this park as a child, teenager and adult and agree with comments that Hindley people have been let down by rubbish councillors who have done nothing to stop the decline of Hindley and have robbed people of a lovely park, library and local shops
