i lived at old lodge which wae the game keepers cottage to haigh hale the game kepper was known locally as sam pasty and lived with his 5 daughtars

I live in the old farm plantation gates used to be owned by farmer Howard also known as Platts Farm (1886) does anyone remember my house or have any pics

I remember the gates being closed on one day a year, possibly to stop a right of way being established through the plantations. We lived near the 'Boundary' and my father taught at St John's New Springs. My grandfather was killed in the Alex mine I believe, around 1916.
