At the left ot the Horse Shoe was the Childrens Library.I was fascinated by a large atlas globe on display there.In those days silence was golden, everyone spoke in whispers.

I remember when there was no flats at all in the background.across the road to the right was a lodging house which was run by mr & mrs harris in the 1950s.
