It seems to be approaching the bridge that is at the top of Taylor's Lane, Spring View. I do believe that is St Mary's Church, in the background. It had a very similar steeple.
It is indeed the old St Mary's church. Also in view is the back of Cecil Street, Hope Street, and, I think, Railway Terrace.

ya thats taylors lane alright spent many happy hours there train spotting in the 60's
