Great photo, a bit before my time, but spent many hours there with my dad Harold racing and trialing dogs. It still looked the same in the late 60,s.

I was born in Cowling st and my grandfather Harry Rimmer worked there for the owner Tommy Kenyon, in the early 60s I used to walk the dogs to the traps, the handicapper was Ralph Parkinson,bookies were Ken Broome.Jimmy Livesey and some I cant remember.Trainers I remember.Harold Sharples,Tony Deroma,Bill Quinlan,Jonny Heyes,big punters were Garvey and fingers, Eric Bromilow,anyone who may know me please get in touch, thanks

My dad John Fillingham Jacky as Tommy called him used to work for Tommy Kenyon he used to drive the hare at meetings
I used to parade the dogs at meetings

I lived in cygnet st .I used to walk the dogs out trap 5 grate days

I used to take the dogs to trap 2, my dad was John Fillingham who worked at the track driving the hare and also worked at the speedway... Wigan Warriors...I remember Laurel and Hardy appearing at the track in 1950 or so. I spent my childhood playing at the dog track.....and Poolstock Cricket Club...

I lived at pool street and worked near the dog track I remember harry whalley he was the coal man

Tommy Kenyon built the house and then lived in the house I now live in. Anyone have a picture of him?
