All cleaned off now!
You can still see those green tiles stuck on the wall.
The supermarket was originally "Fine Fare"
'This in England'
Dryden House in the background!!!! My nan lived in the flats between 'Fine Fare' and Dryden House!!!! There were also x2 other 'Tall Flats' as we called them to the right and behind where the pic was taken!!! Happy Days, the world was a better and safer place in the 60's & 70's round there!
Oh Worsley Mesnes shops, lol. I used to have to take the washing to the launderette for my mum.Loved the bakery next to the post office. Used to do our courting round by the toilets and phone boxes.Had my first fag there too, lol.Oh and the chippy was the best. Pudding , chips and peas with pea wet, what I wouldn´t give for that now. Oh happy days.
