Flats above the shops were occupied then - they're all boarded up now.

My family and I lived in baucher rd from 1981 84 if I can remember right our flats were demolished and we moved to Horne Grove we didn't live there long my mum being from Ramsgate in Kent took me and my sister to live down there were I still live today but just seeing this picture has all those youthful memories came back the too young lads could have been myself and a friend anyway I've never forgotten the 15 years I lived up north
