great photo think this is were morrisons are now im i right/wrong.
The other side in Market street.
That part of the building under construction is actually the Market Hall.
The part of the building you see in the photo under construction WAS the Market square car park.
Sorry to disagree with you Jimmy, but the part of the building you see in the photo under construction, WAS actually where some buildings stood which were in between Hope Street and Mesnes Street, Hope Street ran parallel with Mesnes Street, also the old bus station was there too, the Market Square car park was located about where Morrison's is now, including the service road at the front
stuart you are correct, the old Ribble travel office was in Hope St along with the old Morrison store which they bought off Dave Whelan also the amusement arcade which was underneath the Room at the Top.
