I remember the cottages in the wood, a girl called Eileen Pearce used to live in one of them.

I can only vaguely recall them but you could buy ice-cream or sweets at one of them.

I remember the cottages as if it were yesterday,went into the shop /cottage on many occasions to buy a glass of pop before carrying on to the woods to play with friends'

The last house was the shop...if u could call it a shop, I had more sweets in my pocket than they had on the counter, and old man would come, and I do know you could buy a glass of water for 1/2p, this was good in summer after a long walk in the woods
