The bloke up the ladder on the left must be cleaning the parafin shop window. these cottages were demolished in the early 60s and made into a garden where the old peoples home is now. The Horseshoe Tavern was made from the next two houses and extended at the back in 1923. Now numbered 5 along with 7 and 9 they were saved from demolition in the early 80s by me.
Across the road where the van is was an arch through to some stables. all this side was demolished leaving the cobbled alley in the grass where I used to park my car off road causing no harm to anyone except perhaps the people who wanted to demolish my house. I was told not to park there. I moved in 1990.
