Cica 1952. Me the soft'un in the middle with the cap, scarf and gloves on! But who are the other two? I know! A pint on me for the 1st person to come up with their names.
Roy.
Like the photo and the one of Standish Grammer School. If you would have asked who the lad in the middle was,I would have said Jack Robinson, however you say it is you so I can't be right on that score.I don't know the other two yet, will have a good look at the school photo it might give me some clues.
Thanks Brian.Neither of them are on the school photo Brian sorry!
Roy.
It has been informed that the boy on your left is Martin Best,if correct does it get me half a pint.Still don't know the other, perhaps a clue might be in order.
No,not Martin Best Brian,no clues yet, would like one or two more people to get involved first.
Roy is it Martins brother Richard
Sorry Gary, he isn't a Best.
Hello Roy! not seen you for nearly 50 years! I should know the lad next to you as it's me - about 1954 I'd guess. Is the other lad called Derbyshire? Can't remember his first name. I wouldn't mind having a pint with you some time if I could get in touch.
Hi John, what a pleasant surprise, nice to hear from you.I haven't visited this photo for a week or so,therefore I hadn't seen your comment until today. You don't qualify for the free pint of course as you are 'in the know'.Yes the other lad is Bob Darbyshire I haven't seen him for 50 plus years either.I'll have a pint with you for old times sake before it's to late!! You moved to Southport if I can recall, are you still there? Reply to this and we can sort something out.
Hiya again Roy. Looking forward to meeting up but can't think how to arrange it. I'm near Bolton so can get to Standish easily. I believe you're still in Standish-according to my cousin Jim D. Is the Crown at Bradley a good place?
Hi John, send me an e-mail to roy.huxley@talktalk.net with your phone number and the best time to catch you and we'll sort something out.
Fom left to right John Kevill, Roy Huxley and Bob Darbyshire.
