What a pity to knock down a gorgeous building. This was between Bryn Baptist Church and Bryn Cross. I used to play in the grounds after it was demolished we called it "little woods" There are now detached houses on Wigan Road on this site and houses accessed at the back via Medway.

I seem to remember this was the Parsonage for the Minister of Park Lane Chapel... I have a vague memory of going to a Bonfire there in the late 40s, early 50s...

How very interesting to see this photograph. My father, Martin Hall, was Unitarian Minister at Park Lane Chapel from 1943 to 1947 and we lived in the parsonage. My mother wrote a history of the chapel in verse. I was born in 1944 and my sister in 1945, and I have family photos taken in the garden of the parsonage. We moved to Sussex in the deep snow of the winter of 1947. I now live in Dorset. Many thanks indeed.
