Looks a nice house Robert where abouts was it in standish

Hi julie it was in the woods at the rear of st maries church near beach walk, all that is left there now is rubble.

Was it anywhere near Standish Hall Farm? I seem to remember a hermitage or some other building when I worked on the farm.

Yes it was'nt far from standish hall farm, you would of probably gone past it to get to the farm.

My dad worked on the farm.

Since moving to standish I find the what I call 'ruins' very interesting, the site of the old hermitage has many interesting historical values and probably many a story to tell, this should be appreciated by all residents of Standish and surrounding areas.

Sorry Robert for not mentioning what a wonderful piece of work you have created from the old picture in to colour.
