village club downall green, thought to be late 1950s early 1960s can anyone help with names.

I know quite a few faces but the names aren't there. However, standing at the back left, with waistcoat and pint, is Bill Slater who lived at this time in Poplar Ave. Sitting on the front row with pipe and score sheet,I'm almost sure,is Arthur Winstanley from Cedar Grove; perhaps Carol can confirm.

They may be at the Village club but i think they are all members of the S & S club (British Legion) & most are founder members , the ones i can remember are,
L to R Back,? Albert Lloyd, Tommy Aspinall, Jack ??Marsh's dad, Sat Down Middle, only Harry Haywood that i can remember, Front ? Lol Sparks, Arthur Winstanley,Joe Lowe, Alf Ball , Jimmy Duffy, George Thompson, Gerry Lewis, ??

Back row 3rd from right is marli frodsham,front row r/h side is tommy lewis, directly behind him is bill lewis, to the left of tommy is gerry lewis, 2nd row 2nd from left i think could be john dooney but not to sure.

Hi Dave, great photo only just spotted it Geoff Aspinall was at our house yesterday wish i had seen it then could have shown it to him im sure he would have been made up with it. Will show it to him next week. Is it ok if i take a copy of this photo i will restore it and give a copy to Geoff and Ann Frodsham because Mylie her Dad is on it. What a coincidence just as i am typing this who should ring only Geoff, weird!! and yes he does want a copy.

Hi janice, frank says this is a trip out from possibly the s&s legion, i know my dad used to drive for tommy aspinall perhaps he was driver on this occasion, i never actually met tommy but heard a lot of good tales about him of my father.
