It looks old enough to have been in situ when Bonnie Prince Charlie graced Wigan with his presence. It’s seen better days I wonder when it was actually built. It looks like there’s a piece of wood holding part of the roof up. A great photo to see,. It must have been on the left side going up Millgate.

Great photo Keith. You've really brought that lovely old building to life. Can anyone else see the faces of a boy and a dog in the lower left hand window or are my eyes playing tricks. I've just compared it to the black and white photo and I can see them there as well but not so clearly.
